This research report from the Urban Institute details the California Health Care Foundation’s pilot project to develop sustainable, integrated care models for patients with opioid use disorder in the primary care setting using medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The pilot project was implemented across 10 community health centers in California. Through their evaluation, the Urban Institute identified important facilitators for success as well as common challenges and barriers.

The Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, which houses the National Center, provided project management and technical assistance for this pilot project.
