Coalescing a Field of Complex Care was the opening plenary session of November 2017’s Putting Care at the Center conference, the second annual conference of the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs.
The panel examines what it will take to coalesce a field of complex care. Individuals with expertise in core elements of the field, such as trauma-informed care and social correlates of health, converse in this moderated session alongside experienced pioneers of parallel movements, such as palliative care. The panel analyzes what resources and knowledge the nascent field currently has in place, and what opportunities and challenges are ahead as the field continues to develop.
